So, you have gone to the polls, you have cast your vote and elected your local Virginia Delegate. Now what?

You know that Delegate Delores Oates, who is our current Delegate for House District 31 was elected. Being in the minority, you know that there would be some uphill battles, but besides making law, what does she do?

Did you know that your State Delegate can help you with a variety of issues? Ever try to call if you cannot seem to get anyone from DMV on the phone to help you with your seemingly simple problem? An email to your delegate can help you make that contact and solve your issue.

Any state agency that you have an issue with, your elected official can help. They can connect you with the right person when you just do not know who to call.

Remember to separate local, state and federal issues. Problem with Social Security, that is Federal. Problem with VDOT, that is State.

  • Are you interested in running for local seats?

  • Donate your talent: Can you organize? Are you proficient in website design?

  • Donate you treasure: Set up a monthly re-occuring donation to your local committee. Pay for the occasional event or mailer.

  • Donate your time: Join the Committee, make phone calls, knock on doors.

  • Run for office
